KIM SCERINE, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR...


Kim has studied with some of the finest teachers in the world, including Gus Giordano , Frank Hatchett , Joel Hall , Claire Battaille, and LOU CONTE DANCE STUDIO (Home of the critically acclaimed HUBBARD STREET DANCERS ), where she was on scholarship for two years. She attended JAZZ DANCE WORLD CONGRESS , hosted by NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY and GUS GIORDANO JAZZ DANCE three times. As a Choreographer and teacher, Kim has traveled all over the MIDWEST to set dances including annually to WISCONSIN's highly regarded JEAN WOLFMEYER SCHOOL OF BALLET where she was hired in for 18 years.

Kim is also very active in the communitiy. Kim is a founding Choreographer for SMALL TOWN THEATRICS which has brought great musicals like "13" , "PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE" , "LEGALLY BLONDE" , and "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT" to Coal City. See has also choreographed for the COAL CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL as well as REED-CUSTER HIGH SCHOOL for several musicals; including: Godspell , Pippen , Grease,Fiddler on The Roof , Once Upon a Mattress , Little Shop of Horrors , Beauty and The Beast , Singing in The Rain , Crazy for You , Footloose , High School Musical , and The Little Mermaid .

She volunteers her time and expertise to teach Dance and Dance Fitness classes at area grade and high schools and has also assisted at BENET ACADEMY, LISLE's Summer Music Program .

As founder and Director of the ON BROADWAY DANCERS , Kim has introduced the Company to audiences overseas in the SOVIET UNION (1990) , FRANCE and SWITZERLAND (1995) , AUSTRIA and GERMANY (1999) , ITALY , AUSTRIA , and SWITZERLAND (2003) and ITALY , AUSTRIA , and GERMANY (2008) as well as POLAND, AUSTRIA and GERMANY (2016).

The The ON BROADWAY DANCERS' outstanding reputation has landed them 1/2 time shows for the CHICAGO BULLS , ISU , NORTHWESTERN , DEPAUL , LOYOLA , NORTHEN IIILINOIS UNIVERSITY , and the CHICAGO ROCKERS . The dancers have appeared on BOZO's CIRCUS , WLS-TV "7" CHICAGO SHOWCASE and have been featured on CHANNELS "2" and "7" NEWS . They also have had a contract to perform at the TASTE OF CHICAGO for 14 years and previously 10 years at DEARBORN GARDEN WALK with the world famous JESSE WHITE TUMBLERS . In July of 2000, CHANNEL "7" NEWS and Harry Porterfield filmed a special segment on the ON BROADWAY DANCERS for the "Someone You Should Know" portion of the news.
JAIME FRAZIER


Miss Jaime is a product of Broadway Dance Center. She was a member of the On Broadway Dancers for 9 years and was one of our most outstanding performers. She was a teaching assistant for 3 years and this will be her 10th year as a teacher. Jaime has trained 5 years at the River North Dance Workshops held at the Ruth Page Foundation in Chicago. She also trains at Lou Conte Dance Studio home of Hubbard Street Dance Company. In 2009 Jaime was selected for Hubbard Street Dance Company’s 3 week HSDC intensive. During that period she trained 8 hours a day with Choreographers as well as the Artistic Director of Hubbard Street. Jaime also teaches 4th grade at Coal City Intermediate School.

JOEY CLAEYSSEN


Joey is a graduate of Illinois State Univeristy, with a B.A. in Dance Performance. He loves teaching all styles of dance, supporting young dancers to reach their physical, technical, and artistic potential. During 17 years of dance instruction, Joey has enjoyed teaching students of all ages and abilities, as well as the role of Dance Director for Auburn High School, Rockford, Il. His true passion is the art of choreography - most recently featuring work set on Outlet Dance Co., Elk Grove Village, il. Throughout all of his dance adventures, BDC holds his heart and he looks forward to celebrating our 30th season!
EMMA FRANTINI


Miss Emma has been a member of the On Broadway Dancers for 11 years and this is her 10th year as an assistant/teacher. She is also A full-time registered nurse.

ASHLEE THOMAS-FALLON


Ashlee has been dancing for 27 years and was a member of OBD for 12 years. She was an Illinois State University Dance Theatre/Association company member from age 18 to 22. Ashlee was cast in Illinois Dance Theatre's Fall concert each year performing for college professors and various guest artists. After graduating from ISU Ashlee began teaching and choreographing at Broadway Dance Center for Jr and Sr Company. Ashlee also moved to Chicago where she was a company member in two dance companies, Innervation Dance Association and Corpo Dance Company. This is her seventh year at Broadway Dance Center, teaching and choreographing modern, ballet, and jazz for the Junior and Senior Company. Recently,Ashlee opened the ivivva athletica Showroom in Chicago. ivivva athletica is a dance and activewear line for girls ages 4-14. Through working at ivivva athletica Ashlee has worked with several dance companies in Chicago to promote dance and movement in a fun, inspiring way! Her passion is connecting the with the hyper local community to empower young girls. She has been a part of ivivva/lululemon Flash Mob on Southport, Yoga at Wrigley Field, and cheer stations with the ivivva community. Ashlee has thoroughly loved working with the Company at Broadway Dance Center over the past 6 years and looks forward to watch each dancer grow and improve.
MEGAN BUGG


Megan began at BDC in 2006. For the past two years, she has worked with our youngest students as well as managed the front office.
